The singer gained international fame after being featured in the Mexican television series Rebelde as Mia Colucci and for her character as a pop artist in the Latin Grammy Award-winning group RBD. Anahi has sold well over three million albums in her solo artist. Anahi was first discovered in the year 1985, aged 2, and appeared on the Mexican TV program Chiquilladas. Anahi Giovanna Puente was born 14 May 1983 in Mexico City, Mexico, to Spanish father Enrique Puente, and Mexican mother Marichelo Portilla. She is the older sister of the TV star Marichelo Puente, born in 1978. The older half-sister Diana Puente was also born through her father's previous marriage.
