Andrea Jeremiah
Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actress, musician and playback vocalist for Tamil films and Malayalam film. Her acting debut was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam, and her Malayalam debut was with Annayum's Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah was raised in an Anglo-Indian family living in the Arakkonam region of the capital of Tamil Nadu.Andrea's dad is an attorney working at the Madras High Court. Her older sister is living and working in Leuven Belgium in the role of Research assistant. Jeremiah was raised near Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea began playing the piano classically in her 8th year. When she was 10, she was a part of a Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the base of her early musical and singing career. She worked as a stage artist at her university and participated in several productions by The Madras Players, EVAM and various theatre organizations. She served as President of the Women's College's Student Senate. Andrea began her theatre career by appearing in Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. Andrea was in the lead role with Shiva as a leo coffee ad in 2006. She also acted as a part of a character in the Podhigai serial. The actress has also appeared on stage in India. She had a short part in the final scene of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). She sang a song for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. The director asked her to play one of the female lead characters for Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea performed the role of Kalyani, a housewife whose husband has an affair. The character was allegedly threatened with a blackmail. Andrea was selected for the part following Simran and Tabu both actresses were contacted by the producers. The film was released in early the year 2010. In 2011 she agreed to perform a small supporting part which was released in early 2010. Venkat Prabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha which came out in August 2011. Her Malayalam debut in a film with Rajeeev's Annayum Rasoolum in 2013.
