LeAnn Kymes and Alison Krauss were the two newest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23 1971) is an American bluegrass country singer and musician. She began her career in the industry at an early age winning local contests by the age of 10 before making her first recording at 14. The year 1987 was when she dropped her debut solo album following joining Rounder Records. She was asked to join the group with whom she performs Alison Krauss and Union Station and released her first album with them as a group in 1989.
